63 Lincoln Continental Convertible
-Hello Joe and Kim,
We would like to offer our thanks and offer a recommendation for consideration by future potential customers of American Icons.
As you are aware, we purchased our 1963 Falcon convertible from one of your clients in April 2009. What makes this transaction somewhat noteworthy, is that we are located in Michigan and you (and the Falcon) were located in California. Our search for a rust free unrestored 1963 Falcon convertible was made somewhat frustrating by vehicle owners and classic car dealers who did not accurately represent their vehicle's condition.
During our search process we encountered supposedly "rust free" cars with 4" diameter holes in the rear wheel house, rotted doors and wrecked cars that were amateurishly reassembled. Even after examination of photos sent by various sellers, we were still amazed by how inaccurately many vehicles were represented.
So when we encountered the dark blue 1963 Falcon convertible on your website, we were skeptical. Your cooperation through the entire process convinced us that it was appropriate to make an offer to purchase the vehicle. The negotiations with the vehicle's owner were handled in an efficient manner by your shop. When I traveled to California for inspection of the vehicle I was able to determine that you had accurately represented all aspects of the vehicle's condition.
Please feel free to use this communication in your promotional activities as I want other persons seeking collector cars to know that they can rely upon American Icons for accurate representation of the cars that you are offering. Also, we do appreciate your cooperation with Reliable Carriers who transported our Falcon from your shop in Sacramento, California to Michigan.
Since our Falcon has arrived, we have enjoyed driving the car more than we anticipated and attach several photos for your collection.
Best regards,
Larry Bernhardt
